San Francisco is known to be one of most dog friendly cities. A lot of restaurants and bars have outdoor seating which allows you to bring your pup with you while you have a meal or even at a Happy Hour! These are our favorite restaurants and bars that we bring Roo to all the time!
Cassava is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. It is located in Outer Richmond District. If you love “modern California cooking” then this place is for you. They are small, so make sure you make reservations online! The husband and wife team incorporates fresh ingredients from land and sea. The chef was trained with fine dining techniques in Tokyo. Some of their menu options have Japanese dishes which are a real treat. They do breakfast and lunch, brunch on weekends, and even a have 4-course tasting menu for dinner! They have outdoor seating so you can enjoy a glass of wine while your pup enjoys their time outside.
BLACK HAMMER BREWERY
This is one of my favorite breweries to hang out in because of their wide selection of craft, ales, and lagers. Black Hammer Brewery is located in the SOMA district. They use traditional techniques, but are able to experiment so their beers change daily! As you walk in, make sure you say hi to Growler their mascot! He is the friendliest pup and greets you as you walk in. Growler will also sit beside you while you enjoy your beers if you’re lucky! Many people bring their pups (big and small) into this brewery.
BAREBOTTLE BREWING COMPANY
This is another one of my favorite breweries! Bare Bottle Brewery is located in Bernal Heights district. They have a large space so you can hang out outside or inside. This place is very dog-friendly! Even if you don’t have a dog, it is just fun to be around people and dogs. Their beers are made with local ingredients and they partner with local home-brewing groups to develop new beers. They also do events, tours, classes, and private events!
SOCIAL SPARK SF
Spark is a new urban gathering space located in the heart of Mission Bay. We are a food truck park, beer/sangria garden, and event space designed to bring the neighborhood together for fun times, day or night. We collaborate with small businesses to ignite the spirit of community by creating warm and welcoming spaces to grub and gather. We work with over 150 food trucks from all over the Bay Area which we rotate every single day for both lunch and dinner.
Mission Rock Resort is one of those hidden gems in San Francisco. It is located in Mission Bay right on the water. Just their outdoor seating alone should make you want to check out this place. The seafood is fresh and has one of the best oyster happy hours. They do lunches, brunches, dinners and can even host private parties. They love pups and even provide water bowls and treats while you enjoy your seafood and the view!
These are just some of my favorites. Let me know if you have tried any of these places or have any suggestions I should try in San Francisco! Enjoy!
