We love Summer adventures, and having the dogs by our side is really important. The sun is shining and it’s time to take holiday from work. It’s the best time to go adventure and explore with your pup. So here are 5 summer adventures to have with your pup!
PADDLEBOARDING
Paddleboarding is great fun. If your dog likes the water then this is a great adventure to have with your pup. We recommend starting slowly, and making sure your dog is comfortable on the board. Find local lakes or water sports centers as the conditions are a lot easier (for you and pooch) than the ocean.
TAKE A STAY-CATION
Traveling with your dog is really important to us, and something we try to do as much as possible. Taking a short break and enjoying the beautiful countryside or coast in your own neighborhood can really open your eyes to what’s on your doorstep.
Dog-friendly luxury hotels are popping up all over the place and will make you and your dog feel super special. You can also research to find a camping pod near a local dog-friendly beach.

SHARE AN ICE CREAM
So, it might be said that we like to spoil the dogs….just a bit! During the warmer summer months, we love to find cute dog-friendly treats to try. Our current favorite is doggy ice cream. There are many dog brands in the UK, or you can make your own following the Lily’s Kitchen recipe.
WATCH A SUNSET
One of our favorite things to do after a busy and exciting day is to unwind as a fur-family and enjoy the sunset. Our favorite sunsets are by the coast, with Cornwall and Pembrokeshire being stunning places to watch the sun go down.
HEAD TO THE BEACH
We love the sea and the ocean and head to the coast as much as possible. Needing to do a little bit more research to find dog-friendly beaches doesn’t stop us. The dogs love running free up and down the beach, and we love sea swimming together, too.

Sunsets and beach days for us definitely! We’re a couple of hours from the beach though so will have to go and check Steph and the Spaniels blog for some good staycation recommendations ????
Loved reading this, especially as a someone who loves to be by the coast with my Cocker.
Will be trying the ice cream for him too.
Thanks
Since we don’t live near the beach anymore, we’ve been taking our pup to local parks and going in their splash pads! He LOVES water!!
