I am so excited to be sharing Miss Lola’s favorite morning treats today! These are super easy to make with only three ingredients. The end results? A super healthy treat for your dog that’s not only tasty, but made with ingredients you’d eat yourself (they are also perfect for cooling off during the summer!)
Since Lola has sensitive skin and a longer coat that tends to get matted easily, I wanted to find a dog treat that helped with all of the above in one portion; which brings me to Frozen Coconut Oil Treats!
BENEFITS OF COCONUT OIL
- Increased energy levels
- Improved skin and coat
- Improved digestion
- Reduced allergic reactions
INGREDIENTS
½ cup Peanut Butter
1/3 cup Organic Coconut Oil
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Pet Treat Silicone Baking Mold – World Market HERE
DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Melt the coconut oil and peanut butter on the stove (put it on low and stir together, you don’t want to burn it.) Add the cinnamon, mixing everything together again until you have an even mix.
Licking the spoon is Lola’s favorite part of baking!
Step 2: Pour the mix into silicone trays and freeze until set (they are usually done within an hour.) Seriously, this recipe couldn’t be easier!
Step 3: Pop them out of the trays and store in a covered dish in the freezer.
I have been making these for Lola for over a year and have seen a huge difference in her skin, coat, and scratching! I always get asked how I keep her hair so silky smooth and this is the answer! I have so many friends and family that are now making these yummy treats!

I am a wedding, lifestyle and doodle photographer based out of the beautiful city of Atlanta, GA. I love listening to Bon Iver while cleaning my house way too many times during the day, spending time with my Goldendoodle, Miss Lola, drinking lots of coffee and eating way too many donuts. I am a sucker for everything neutral and love chasing light. I picked up my first camera 6 years ago, which has been amazing to be in a world that is surrounded with love and happiness. It truly is a blessing to call this passion my career.
