Every year, when September 11th comes, I pause and reflect on what our country went through 18 years ago today.
18 years ago. Just writing that gives me chills. 18 years that babies have been born without a parent, that spouses have lived without their loves, that friends and family have been unexpectedly lost. I could never begin to image the pain those left behind have gone through. And I am sure that today, no matter the length of time, hurts them so deeply.
If you were effected by the tragic events of 9/11, today I want to honor you and your loved ones. You are in my prayers and you are on my mind today. If I could, I would embrace you in the biggest hug and pray with you. You are so loved.
Our nation and our community is full of strength and resilience. So today, I want the DailyBarker community to stand together and all to take a second, to remember and honor those lost 18 years ago and those that live on. Pray their hearts find peace today. Pray for them to feel loved by their communities.
So why don’t you take that second now. Close your eyes, remember, honor, and pray. DailyBarker loves you all! I am always standing with you, even from afar.
Love, Christina
