Can you believe it’s already June? I can’t! I LOVE summer and have been awaiting this season for what feels like a year. But this year already feels like it’s flying by! I wonder if our dog’s feel like that, too? Haha!
Today, I’m introducing you to one cute dood—James Bond! I hope you love his sweet personality as much as I do! Let’s kick off this interview!
What is your name?
Where are you from?
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a “mini” goldendoodle! My pawrents thought I would be 30 pounds and here I am at a whopping 50 pounds of pure fluff. I am not your typical goldendoodle. I have light apricot fur, with blue green eyes. Everyone says I have human eyes that look into your soul, whatever that means! I think I am one of the most animated dogs you will ever meet. My many faces go with my personality—goofy and always wanting to play! Cuddling is not my forte, much to my mom’s dislike. Currently I have my Canine Good Citizen certificate and am working on my therapy dog training so I can go to work with Mom at her hospital.
When it comes to playing, I love playing with little kiddos but my favorite people are seniors. I love laying next to them and watching them. They have so many cool stories to tell me!
I live in the mile square town of Hoboken and it often takes me 30 minutes to walk five blocks because everyone wants to pet or play with me! On weekends, I go on adventures with my pawrents and love going into the Big Apple. There are so many dog-friendly places to see (and too little time!)
Do you have any nicknames?
Jamsey and JB (my grandma likes to call me that).
How many years have you been on Instagram?
A little over one year!
What got you started on Instagram?
My pawrents thought it would be a great way to show my personality! Not to mention, they love watching funny videos on Instagram!
What does a typical day look like for you?
Most days, I have no idea if it is a weekend or a week day, so the schedule is always the same despite my pawrents wishes. As soon as their alarm goes off in the morning, I am at their bedside sticking my head on the bed licking either mom or dad in the face or whining until someone acknowledges me. I just always want to play. Every morning I run into my friend Bruce the French Bulldog on my morning walk. I get my breakfast paired with Cheerios then beg my mom and dad for more lovin’ before they leave for work.
During the day I get spoiled by my dog walker, Kristin. She’s the best! Sometimes we spend 2 hours with each other—and I usually get to see my friends Hudson and Gus. After one of my walks, we normally get to play and run around with each other.
My mom is the first to come home most nights and we normally go on a walk to meet dad on his way home. I love being nosey on my walks, staring at the birds and squirrels, or other dogs. I tend to run into things while I am walking because I don’t pay attention. Night time is spent playing with my pawrents, stealing socks, and watching the Hoboken High School Football team practice, marching band practice, or zog sports teams play (we overlook the football field). By 9pm, I am normally taking up my pawrents whole bed, passed out asleep.
What is your favorite travel spot?
My grandparents live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Twice a year, we drive from New Jersey to Florida and I get to stop at my favorite place South of the Border and Savannah, GA. In Florida, I love chasing the seagulls and digging for crabs. My grandpa spoils me with long walks on the beach. It’s one of my favorite things!
If you could be another animal, what would you be?
I would most definitely be a lion or a cat (mostly because I have many cat-like tendencies). My favorite spot in the apartment is laying on the couch people watching out the window or hiding under the kitchen table (much like a cat). When I play with my toys, I tend to pounce on them like a cat, too!
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
Socks! I LOVE stealing my pawrents socks. I could entertain myself for hours throwing socks around and pouncing on them!
What is your favorite meal or thing to eat?
Peanut butter, ice chips, and carrots. I try to lead a healthy lifestyle!
Tell us one random fact about you that no one knows!
When my pawrents first brought me home, the only thing that would keep me calm was Game of Thrones. Even to this day if GoT is on the TV, I will sit in front of it, watching intently.
Where can the DailyBarker community connect with you?
You can find me on Instagram @Double_o_doodle (get it… James Bond 007)! See you on the ‘gram!
