I can’t believe Lola is FOUR! I have so many emotions running through me today and just can’t believe God has put this amazing fur baby in my life. She has been through so many ups and down in my life. Moved across the United States with me to build my business and has been my number one rock. I am so forever grateful to call her my home. <3
TO LOLA…
Thank you for always reminding me not to take life so seriously and to enjoy the small moments.
Thank you for being the best little cuddle buddy.
Thank you for always getting me outside to exercise and enjoy this beautiful world we live in (rain, sun, and even snow!)
Thank you for loving me so unconditionally and accepting me for who I am. Whatever mood I am in, I can count on you to always be by my side. Whenever I shed even the smallest tear, I can hear you walking through the house trying to find me.
Thank you for always picking up the crumbs off the floor. Because of you, I have to sweep much less!
Thank you for loving food just as much as I do. I love sharing my meals with you and trying new foods!
Thank you for always letting me put you in silly outfits and take your photos. I know you are just doing it for the treats. 🙂
Thank you for being my best friend and allowing me to experience a bond and love I didn’t even know existed. Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl.
Love, your Momma
HOMEMADE BIRTHDAY CUPCAKES
These were so much fun to make in the kitchen with Lola. She is obsessed with these cupcakes and I will be making these a lot more this year! Did I mention they were SO easy to make?! They are healthy and smell SO yummy.
I gave her one right after I baked them and she sat next to the kitchen counter begging for another one. Hehe!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/4 cup Old Fashion Oats
- 2 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/3 cup Coconut Oil
- 1/4 cup Honey
For the frosting/topping:
- 5.3 Oz. Container of Plain Greek Yogurt
- Milk Bone Treats
DIRECTIONS
(Serves 6)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 6 cup muffin tin with paper liners and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine flour, honey, oats, baking soda, applesauce, coconut oil, egg, and peanut butter and then mix.
Scoop the batter evenly into the muffin tray.
Place into the oven and bake for 16-20 minutes. Check to see if it’s cooked all the way through by sticking in a toothpick; make sure it comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool completely before frosting.
Smash the milk bone treats in a plastic bag and then frost the tops of the cupcakes with Greek yogurt.
Add the smashed up milk bones on top.
ENJOY!

I am a wedding, lifestyle and doodle photographer based out of the beautiful city of Atlanta, GA. I love listening to Bon Iver while cleaning my house way too many times during the day, spending time with my Goldendoodle, Miss Lola, drinking lots of coffee and eating way too many donuts. I am a sucker for everything neutral and love chasing light. I picked up my first camera 6 years ago, which has been amazing to be in a world that is surrounded with love and happiness. It truly is a blessing to call this passion my career.
