This month, we’re bringing some bright sunshine to your day with a sweet Floridian face. I’m so excited to introduce you to Louie from Miami! Now, I don’t know about you, but every time I hear or think of Miami, Will Smith’s famous song “Miami” always pops into my mind. I think this happens because that was one of my favorite songs circa 1997. Haha! Now enough about Will Smith (sorry, Will), because today is all about @king.lou.the.frenchie! Ready Louie?
What is your name?
Louie!
Where are you from?
Born n’ raised in sunny Miami, Florida. They call me Mr. 305 (For the record, Pitbull took the name from me.)
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a 1-year-old blue fawn French bulldog with a diva (or divo?) personality. Besides being a licensed Emotional Support Animal (ESA) for my mommy, I love playing with my furriends in the doggie park and will make it known if I am not getting enough playdates. Want to know the reason why I love my doggie park visits so much?! Mainly, for the naps afterward! I may be a divo, but I sure do love to cuddle and nap. I am also a millennial and really enjoy a healthy lifestyle. I have a taste for the finer things in life such as blueberries, carrots, gluten-free pretzels, and duck. If I could get a FitBit in my size, I would probably hit my step goal every single day.
Recently, I have also become quite the beach bum — being from Miami, it’s not hard to find a beach nearby! I used to be afraid of the water (Frenchies are not known for their swimming skills); but, after a few swimming lessons with my trusty life vest, you may be looking at the next Michael Phelps — Tokyo 2020 here I come! Also, as an aside to my fellow pups out there reading this, if you haven’t rolled around in the sand and ran into the ocean to cool off (and clean up), then you haven’t really lived. Come visit me in Miami and I’ll show you how to live your best doggon’ life.
However, at the end of the day, my two best friends are my mom and dad (but especially dad…shh…don’t tell mom!) I don’t know what I would do without them — but really, what would I do?! My favorite days of the week are definitely lazy weekends where we spend every minute together watching Netflix, napping on football Sundays, the occasional outing for errands, and being spoiled with their fancy human meals (more filet mignon, please!)
Do you have any nicknames?
Lou, King Lou, Louis, Luis, Lulu, Bear, Baby Bear, Little Bear, CooCoo Bear, Stu, StuStu, Stuckity Stu (huh?), Mr. Man, and Sir.
How many years have you been on Instagram?
1 year as of September!
What got you started on Instagram?
I always knew that I would be a star. I mean, just look at this face! I begged my pawrents to let me have an Instagram for months until they finally gave in. It’s a daily grind, and not only is it a great way to document my adventures and connect with other furry friends, but now the world gets to see just how cute and awesome I am!
What does a typical day look like for you?
I wake up in my pawrents’ bed around 7 am when dad gets up for work. He takes me outside to do my business, which always involves a trip to the dog park directly across the street from our building! When I’m done causing trouble at the park, I eat and then go right back to bed with my mom. She has been home a lot lately because she got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Lupus earlier this year. I provide mom with endless cuddles and emotional support, especially since I am an ESA and can go with mom everywhere! My mom’s schedule pretty much revolves around mine — we frequent the dog park often, go for strolls alongside Miami’s Biscayne Bay, and run some of mom’s errands which usually include going to Target and Home Goods (dog toy or treat included, if I’m a good boy.)
After watching hours of E! and Bravo, I am so ready for guy time with my dad! I usually sit and wait with my eyes glued to the front door anticipating his arrival from work. Once he gets home, I sprint as fast as I can to say hello and give him the biggest puppy hug and endless kisses — he loves it. Then, the three of us go on our nightly walk where we chat about anything and everything (I don’t talk, but I am a good listener!) and they finally let me get one last playdate with my friends at the park. I play until I am completely spent and then we go back upstairs to eat dinner and get cleaned up for bed. Finally, I hop into bed with mom and dad and we cuddle and have puppy dreams together all night long. Before I know it, it’s morning and I’m ready to start my day all over again! What a great life!
What is your favorite travel spot?
I haven’t traveled many places yet since I’m only a 1-year-old and just recently got certified as an Emotional Support Animal for traveling; but, I would LOVE to visit Los Angeles, California and get my paw on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
If you could be another animal, what would you be?
If I could be another animal I would probably be a dolphin. I am friendly, smart, a fast swimmer, and love to do tricks for treats!
What is the one thing, you can’t live without?
Definitely my baby bed — the first bed I had when my pawrents brought me home that first day. When I outgrew this bed, my pawrents bought me an upgraded big boy bed (equipped with a memory foam mattress); however, I decided that I much prefered my tiny little bed because it’s snug, comfy, and I fit just fine!

What is your favorite meal or thing to eat?
I enjoy a nice plate of raw duck with veggies prepared on top of a bed of grain free, gluten free dry food. Can’t forget my favorite part — dessert — which usually consists of a nice treat, blueberries, or licking the top of a yogurt lid when mom lets me!
Tell us one random fact about you that no one knows!
I secretly wish to become best friends with Trappy (@trappygoyard) — he’s the Frenchie that hangs out with rapper 2Chainz. He makes regular TV appearances on his dad’s show and is definitely the type of Frenchie that I aspire to be one day.
